When I tested mine, I used a series resistor and did a frequency sweep with a signal generator connected to it. Connecting the scope across the resistor shows the current. That's an easy way to measure the resonant frequency. That's when the current is at it's max. I've done the same tests with the 3.8 knock sensor, they're completely different.
